The Scout F3 black wash crystal Ti folder takes Griffin Company’s mid-size flagship and finishes it entirely in black wash, then breaks up the look with a grey crystal Ti inlay set into the handle. Furthermore, the contrast between the matte black wash and the faceted crystal texture gives this knife a look no inlay material alone can match.

Scout F3 Black Wash — Blade

The 3″ drop-point blade is ground flat with a pronounced swedge and finished entirely in black wash. Steel is CPM MagnaCut — a powder-metallurgy alloy built specifically for the knife industry. As a result, you get exceptional edge retention, real toughness, and outstanding corrosion resistance in one steel. Additionally, the black wash finish hides wear and resists glare during daily carry.

Handle & Grey Crystal Ti Inlay

Milled titanium keeps the knife light without sacrificing rigidity, and the entire handle is finished in matching black wash. Furthermore, the grey crystal Ti inlay is set into the front scale, creating a faceted, almost geode-like texture that catches light differently than a flat inlay. Moreover, this inlay material is one of the more uncommon options in Griffin Company’s catalog.

Action & Lock

Deployment is via front flipper, with spydie flick and thumb flick available as secondaries. Additionally, the caged ceramic ball bearing pivot delivers smooth, consistent action straight out of the box. The titanium frame lock with stainless steel insert provides solid, play-free lockup.

Carry & Hardware

This Scout F3 black wash crystal Ti variant ships with the milled titanium clip set for right-hand, tip-up carry. Therefore, it rides low-profile and disappears into the pocket.
